NMHS celebrates Pride
Team NMHS was all sparkles, top hats and bow ties at this year’s Pride Parade on Saturday, 29 November.
Our people proudly danced to This is Me by the Greatest Showman Cast behind a car decorated with a large rainbow hat and bow tie.
NMHS Chief Executive Robert Toms said it was a fantastic night and a big thank you to NMHS Pride Network members who helped coordinate the event, especially Co-Chairs Michelle Ryan, Liz Morris and Bronwyn Howlett.
“It was great to see the LGBTQIA+ community, their family and allies uniting to celebrate diversity, inclusivity and acceptance,” he said.
“Our participation sends a powerful message of inclusion by demonstrating support for our LGBTQIA+ colleagues, consumers and patients, family and friends.
“It all forms part of our focus on making people feel safe and welcome within our NMHS sites.”
NMHS team's outfits and theme were designed to connect to tie into the Pride WA theme of "We Are Here".
The annual Pride Parade is designed to honour and recognise the past and ongoing work of the members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
