DonateLife Week
DonateLife Week is a national awareness week that takes place in July each year to encourage more Australians to register as organ and tissue donors on the Australian Organ Donor Register and to talk to their loved ones about their donation wishes.
Community engagement events during DonateLife Week highlight the life changing impact of donation and honours the generosity of donors who have given the ultimate gift of life and the profound legacy of hope.
DonateLife WA Lap for Life
The DonateLife WA Lap for Life is held annually in Western Australia during DonateLife Week to promote community awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation. The event unites families, friends and the broader community in recognising the life‑saving and life‑changing impact of donation and transplantation across our state.

Service of Remembrance
The DonateLife WA Service of Remembrance is an invitation only annual ceremony to honour and thank organ and tissue donors and their families for their selfless gift of life.
This special event, held at City Beach, offers a space for donor families and the community to gather, remember and acknowledge the generosity that makes organ and tissue donation possible.
DonateLife Thank You Day
DonateLife Thank You Day is a national day to reflect and say thank you to those generous Australians and their families who make donation possible.
Take part in Thank You Day by sharing a thank you message on your social media channels and by spreading the word with your networks.
DonateLife Jersey Day
Jersey Day was inspired by 13-year-old Nathan Gremmo, who gave the gift of life to 6 people when he became an organ donor.
Each Jersey Day, Australians are asked to wear their favourite sporting jersey and have a conversation with family and friends about organ and tissue donation. It’s fun, free, and you could help save a life by registering as an organ and tissue donor and telling your family and friends.
Saffron Day
Saffron Day encourages all Australians to register as an organ and tissue donor and talk to their families, in recognition of 7-yearold organ donor Deyaan Udani. Deyaan’s generous gift gave 4 people another chance at a full and healthy life.
The day encourages Australians to wear saffron (orange) to prompt discussion and raise awareness about organ donation.
